Friends of Tom Miller:
Tom's condition is called Charcot foot. Charcot foot is a serious condition that can lead to disfigurement, disability and amputation, according to the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. As the condition advances, the joints crumble, and the foot adopts an abnormal appearance. Patients with diabetes, patients with long-term neuropathy, and neuropathic patients with tight Achilles tendons fall risk of developing the condition and ought to take extra precaution and seek immediate medical treatment as soon as symptoms appear.
Doctor’s orders are NO weight on the ankle for several weeks, if not months. As everyone knows, medical bills and other expenses pile up in a hurry. What you may not know is that Tom is a full-time caller. If Tom doesn't call, Tom doesn't earn any money. He has no other source of income.
Those of you who know Tom Miller, know that he is the first person to jump in and help when someone else needs help. Well, now Tom needs our help. In addition to his medical needs, Tom now has to make some modifications to his home in order to accommodate his condition
